NOTHING 2 SOMETHING FILMS is primarily focused on rebuilding the perspective of Black/Urban cinema. Black/Urban films are a distinct minority amongst the many films that are released in the UK; we plan on completely changing that by providing more awareness about them to the community. Public screenings of unreleased films with black/urban actors, directors, producers or writers will be shown in cinemas across London and eventually the UK.
We aim to achieve work with independent black/urban writers, producers and directors providing them a platform to showcase their work, as well as acknowledge black film and documentaries all over worldwide. Overall, our goal is to reach out to the wider audience, and broaden the exposure and promotion of Black/Urban films in the UK.
Bi-monthly we will screen films and documentaries that have failed to gain recognition when released in cinema, or that have never managed to get onto the big screen in the UK. The reason for this is so that audiences can have the cinematic experience other mainstream motion pictures offer. For those who have yet to experience these on of a kind showcases will be apart of a second look at some your most memorable movies in a new approach with a Q&A session (occasionally). NOTHING 2 SOMETHING FILMS secondary focus is to become instrumental and pivotal in producing feature films for black/urban UK actors, directors, producers or writers that reflect a multicultural viewpoint of the UK cinematic population that we are incorporated with. Currently we have two feature film scripts in development and we welcome any artistic individuals, investors or production companies who are interested in a co-production of their work or any of our projects.
